On Friday, April 21st, 2023, at 5:00 PM, the community meeting will be held at the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Lugnano in Teverina (TR). It’s an open meeting for citizens and all stakeholders of the Amerino territory regarding the project “Amerino Tipico: Integrated Actions for the Territorial Food Strategy of the Amerino Landscape.”
Funded through Measure 16.7 of the Rural Development Program for Umbria, the Amerino Tipico project is promoted by the 11 administrations of the Amerino region: Amelia as the lead partner, along with Alviano, Attigliano, Avigliano Umbro, Baschi, Giove, Guardea, Lugnano in Teverina, Montecastrilli, Montecchio, and Penna in Teverina. The project aims to define a territorial development strategy to enhance food as a key element for territorial innovation. This begins with the establishment of the “Amerino©” brand as a driving force for the territory and the creation of an innovative form of cooperation between public and private entities in the area.
For this reason, at the meeting scheduled for Friday, April 21st in Lugnano in Teverina, representatives of the partnership and stakeholders who have already expressed support for the project proposal will attend. In addition to the administrators of the 11 involved municipalities, all those who, in various capacities, may be interested in participating in the “Amerino Tipico” project are invited to participate. This includes: agricultural producers, agritourism operators, accommodations, restaurants, artisans, Pro Loco associations, tourism-related entities, territorial and social associations, and territorial networks, etc…
During the meeting, there will be a review of the actions already implemented within the project, and upcoming initiatives and actions will be presented. However, the meeting aims to be a moment of knowledge sharing and involvement in building new relationships that, through digital tools and the lever of food, lead to a process of rediscovering one’s territorial identity and the values of community and proximity
At the end of the meeting, there will be a convivial moment for the community, with a tasting of typical Amerino products. All potential stakeholders are therefore invited to participate in the meeting and to propose their products for tasting and sharing.
