Truffle Tour: good, healthy, and sustainable
LEARN to create your independence from the system and improve your awareness.
DISCOVER to understand, once and for all, what everyone should know.
CHOOSE because it is precisely our choices that shape our destiny.
Truffle hunting and foraging have been declared by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Following this great honor, truffles, now more than ever, arouse great curiosity and collective interest, becoming an integral part of the macro-sector commonly known as “agri-food.”
Over time, we have gathered, listened to, and tried to understand the needs and curiosities of our customers.
The most frequently asked questions have been:
- Can truffles be cultivated?
- How are they harvested?
- Why can’t I digest them?
- Are all truffles the same?
- What is the difference between packaged and fresh products?
- Why does media influence terrify us so much when it comes to food?
- What is right and what is wrong?
- The role of chemistry in production and processing. Pros and cons?
- What is the true concept of healthy food?
It is by answering these questions that we have created an EXPERIENCE increasingly tailored to consumers’ needs and awareness. We will conduct truffle hunting together with our wonderful dogs, who will accompany us throughout the experience, and we will discuss:
- The concept of healthy food and sustainability and how important it is to safeguard our health while making a positive impact on both individuals and the planet.
- What influences our food choices so we can make informed decisions.
- The composition of a processed product, starting with reading labels.
- The use of preservatives, with practical shared examples (interactive activities and simple analytical measures carried out by each participant).
- Why most young people no longer want to work in this sector, through an understanding of agricultural industrialization and the loss of its values.
- Our role in the ecosystem and sustainability.
- An introduction to the agri-food supply chain, explaining the stages of raw material transformation into a finished product, with practical examples (related to the meat, tomato, truffle, olive, and cereal industries).
We will address the importance of knowledge in making food choices.
WHO WE ARE
Matteo and Virginia, environmental and food cultivators. What we have chosen to produce (truffles, Amerino fava cottora, and extra virgin olive oil) is what we ourselves choose to eat. After managing agri-food companies for many years, where we would never have eaten what we produced, we decided to turn our passion into our profession.
This is why we produce and, above all, educate consumers through awareness. Our company is the realization of the food philosophy we support and promote. As Gandhi once said:
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
